The country town of Quirindi (pronounced car-in-dye) is located in a thriving area just off the New England Highway near Tamworth on the main road from the Coast to Gunnedah, Moree, and further North. The local population is approximately 3,000.
Quirindi is known as the ‘Gateway to the Northwest’, 354 km North of Sydney (approximately 4 hours), 228 km North of Newcastle (approximately 2 hours 40 minutes) and 63 km Southwest of Tamworth (approximately 45 minutes). It is located within a large rural area that has a mix of Agriculture, Mining and Tourism as its main Industries.
The town is on the Southern side of the Caroona, Werris Creek, Spring Ridge and Mount Watermark Mines therefore the location is ideal for companies based in the Hunter region looking for shorter commuting time for its employees.
Besides the major roads which give easy access to the town, Quirindi is also located on the main Northern Rail Network for the Explorer Train. This gives an alternative means of transport to access the region.
